No I'm not back, this is just a one off. A very talented texture artist by the name DAVID GURREA HERNANDEZ that created most of the textures for the games in the title, has a website and is allowing downloads of all the textures (that he created) plus a few more recent ones. These textures are exceptional and would look really cool in any of Lara's adventures. So if I were you, I would get on over to his site and download them. http://www.davegh.com/BLADE/davegh.htm Here is just a few of them: After seeing them, I was inspired to create a new level myself, so you may see me around again pretty soon if all goes well.

I probably don't need to mention this but don't forget to give this guy credit in your levels if you use any of his textures. ------------------

btw: I know a cool "trick" that lets you save all the images on a page at once, so you won't have to click on each image and do the save as thing e-mail me if you're instrested IP: Logged |

Fabio, I'm currently working on the first bit of the pages and Conan is doing the second bit when we're done, I'll devide the textures in 3, so we all do the same amount of work on resizing....so stay tuned Conan, are you done downloading the second part yet?

Driber_IF:I have (finally) received you msg - My Hotmail A/c was playing up. Will proceed as suggested and email when done. Please read the below for future ref... In reply to the thread: I use PaintShop Pro V6.0 but it's a pretty standard feature... I usually select the area I'm interested in and copy it, then paste as a new image, Then use Image | Resize from the menu You're bound to have a similar feature.... as the thumbnail tiles on the demo page are 60x60 pixels I would select them, copy, paste as new image, resize to 64x64 then save to .TGA using minimum possible compresion to prevent detail loss Finally, I'd use TextureEdit to add them to a custom .TGA file and Bob's your Uncle...

it's better to use the high resolution image (using that "trick" I e-mailed you) and manually or batch- resize them to 64x64, as this results in a better quality texture I don't know if PSP has this feature, but with PS you can batch-resize all images in a specific folder using "actions" I'm using a method of sorting the images by dimentions and then move them into different folders and then batch resize them, much easyer!still downloading the rest of the textures and I will e-mail you guys tomorrow to let ya know who can do what, so we can begin resizing ps. I do know a Bob, but it's not my uncle, hehehe [This message has been edited by Driber_IF (edited 09-26-2001).] IP: Logged |
