How do i set up a switch to trigger a door ,from a flipped room?I,ve got an underwater room with a switch in it which opens a door elsewhere. I,ve set up a flipmap so i can drain the room to access the switch, but when i'm in the flipped room i'm not able to place a switch in it for the door. I know there is some combination of setting the switch up in the unflipped room and then triggering it from the flipped room, 'cos i already done this months ago, but i removed the door i wanted to open 'cos i wanted to put a different one in it's place and i can't for the life of me remember how i set it all up in the first place. I read it on the forum somewhere ages ago, i can't find anything in the manual about setting up switches in flipped rooms. If i've made any sense here , can anybody help me out....thanx in advance. You can`t place a switch or any non-static object in a room that flips. What I do is make a small room off from the flip room and place the switch in that------------------ Will Gell IP: Logged |

Hi, if you use the underwaterswitch you can only use it once. When you flip your room into the waterroom (with the switch) you wont see the switch in the flipped room. But if you place a switchtrigger in the flipped waterroom beneath the underwaterswitch (that is in the normal room) the switch will work to open the door.IP: Logged |

Hi skibsy,It is possible to trigger a door to open from within a flipped room. I've made a simple test project for you which has a lever_switch and door in it. When Lara throws the switch, the room she is in flips. When she throws the switch again, the door opens. I can email you the prj file if you want to backwards engineer it. WBM IP: Logged |
