Does anybody know if there are any TR1wads available ,or any objects from TR1 that i can put into an existing wad? What i want is stuff like the bear and the wolves. I understand that TR1 uses a different type of wad ,or something ,but maybe someone out there knows how to use TR1 objects somehow. Anybody know if this is possible IP: Logged |

Until recently we couldn't use TR1 objects in the editor until Turbo Pascal (I believe) created a fab program that allows you to gain access to ALL TR game objects!!! WAHOO!!!Follow the link to the post - it tells you all about it!!!! 005385.html I hope it works for you!!!! Bye John (Moose562) IP: Logged |

Some objects are possible using TR2WAD. No movables (wolves, bears, etc.) but the statics are extractable. I made a TR1 WAD for my "The Caves" conversion. It has the original wolves, but not the bear. I'm currently working on getting the bear to work properly. Anyway, you can get that WAD from my site. Also, I understand Sage of Time is working on other TR1 WADs. Oh, and moose is wrong! What Turbo Pascal is working on has NOTHING to do with TRLE. It is a totally seperate editor and is NOT compatable with TRLE in anyway. Read Turbo's most recent post in that thread for more details.

KyngSpyder, you might be able to help me out.I've got TRWAD but when i try to open a TR1 phd file i get an error message as follows: Run-time error'6'; overflow. I then have to hit OK and it closes. Any idea why this is. I,ve got DirectX 7 on my system if thats anything to do with it and the version of TRWAD is 1.3 Appreciate any help you can give me with this. No i'm the only one to have created a full TR1 WAD for TRLE.. I have yet to release it for the reason that AI is total *beep* (i beeped that one out myself! ) But then again i figure you just want the WAD for fun right? Well i may release it soon.. Seeing as whats going on in my life and all..------------------ IP: Logged |

>No i'm the only one to have created a full >TR1 WAD for TRLE..TR2wad dosen't open TR1 file formats, but i guess that extracting TR1 to WAd is not hard if you have Trviewer it is very ease. Just use TRviewer for extract any TR1 static/movable and save it as *.trmvb then open a *.TR3 file and import the *.trmvb file with the TR1 objecs. then just use tr2wad for build the wad from the TR3 file. I mean: TRviewer: Tr1-->TR3 then TR2wad: TR3-->WAD. If you have 3d studio max, you can use TRviewer for export/import the tr1-tr3 objects/movables to 3DS file format for be edited with 3d studio max, full textured and even you can edit the animation!! (fix the AI), then import back the edited object and then use tr2wad to build the WAD from a TR3 file. Good luck.

I don't know what the problem could be. I have DirectX 8 on my system. Maybe that has something to do with it. The best thing I can think of is to ask Michael. (Edit) Oh, wait. You need the new version of TR2WAD. It's 1.4 and you should be able to find it at Micheal's site. ------------------ KingSpyder KingSpyder@thefreesite.com KingSpyder's World Doctor Who: The Transcripts Project & The Original Tomb Raider Conversion Project [This message has been edited by KingSpyder (edited 10-02-2001).] IP: Logged |

I'm sorry, but it does. With TR2WAD 1.4 you can extract the static meshes.
