OK Now befor you tell me "It cant be done" I just wanna say I DONT WANNA hear it ok Take laras bike quad or sidecar and make Laras Original bike the blue one in TR1 it looks cool and If some could make it it would be cool And is the Block climb thing sorted yet cos i found this; eadme for Moveable Block to Climb Surface Brad Casali, June 14, 2001 ebradpt@lrbcg.com To make a block to a climbable surface simply make a flip map and trigger it with a heavy trigger that is triggered by the block; then, the block changes into a vertical column in the flip room which has a climable surface on it. For this project I used the goldcat textures but didn't include them bc they are too big for this file. I wanted to cut back on download time! Here is the project file and textures that i used for this project. It has only four rooms in it. I used the WAD called Block.WAD from the web site http://bobtombraider.homestead.com/TombRaider.html thanks to bob5! Instructions: 1.) Make two rooms, one stacked on top of the other; 2.) Make some pillars about four tiles long and high off the ground 3.) Place the moveable block on that ledge. 4.) In the top room make a ledge on the floor about two clicks high 5.) In the bottom room make it a flip map the value of 1 6.) Basically, when you move the block, it triggers a heavy trigger for the flip map 1 and where that block trigger the map it turns into a vertical column which has a ladder on it that is climbable. You can basically get this from the project file. Remember to change to a flip map, hold ALT + F. Remember also that the texture of the block changes when you enter the flip map room, so pick some textures that best match your block. This WAD file can be played by changing one of the script levels after the word DATA BLOCK,*** Output the .TOM file as Block.TOM If you have any questions, email me from the address above. Thanks! first of all, the flipmap for a block is NOT a surprise, but we know for months.... and it work ONLY if it is placed in the right place, not always, so the player does not know exactly when to climb it anb why at a certain moment it gets climbable.... (only as it is placed on a differently coloured square...?)then, I have worked on the bike and created a gravitational vehicle.... IP: Logged |

Don't know nuttin' about blocks, but the bike can be done. BUT before we undertake this, go to http://paradox730.tripod.com/trtoolbox/index.html and anvigate your way to Rob's custom bike. This isnīt right. As far as i know iīm the only one who makes the Quad full useable. Without Axle-spin mistake. Look at my Level " Wintertime ". So you can drive across an Ice-Cellar. If someone wants it, download my Level on Tombraiderchronicles.com or on Mprager.de After Downloading you can use TrWest to rebuild the Wad and than you can extract the Quadbike. Tijay:Would you let me have the wad and texture set for 'Wintertime' I would like the quadbike (minus the axle error) Unfortunately I don't have enough diskspace to download the TR4 file. sorry tijay, but I was talking about the fact that if you change texture with invisible textures for the side car, you get a bike which does not work properly as you can get on it only from right, not even from left. Do you agree with this?  Then, the quad bike can be fixed simply importing correctly with STRpix the meshes you previously exported, and moved with a CAD. IP: Logged |

Hi psiko, basicly i agree to you. But there exits several ways to get an full working bike. What i have done is only one possibility of dozens. I didnīt use the Motorcycle object or the Jeep object. In the beginning i experimentate with these ones, but the results are not professional.If you retexture the sidecar, so you couldnīt see them in the game, but you have inaccurate collisions. With the jeep she needs the starter key, and she try to open the door. So (in my case) the best way was to use the original Quadbike including all animations and the driving anims. The serious prob was only the axle spin error. To fix this i designed an Quad modell with integrated axle/tires. And i delete the original ones. So the result looks a bit more professional. At least i changed some anim flags, so Lara could drive backward. ( This feature is disabled in my Level, for the game was necessary that she only could drive forward) I one position youīre quit correct - she only can enter the bike from the right side. I was able also to change this, but than she only can enter from left - both sides at the same time is impossible. ( in my level also from right ). @to Conan : Iīm very sorry. I have deleted the wads. After finishing an level i trash all the building files. Only the prjīs i store. If i need the wad again, i could rebuild it. tijay, sure, but we were talking about a remeshed bike from the original tr4, so we both know that texturing with invisible texture the result is not "professional", both for the collision, either for the animation which "unexplainably" would work only on a side...Anyhow I really liked the work you describe with the quad bike, so when I will have again my working PC, not this one which is my mother's, I think I am going to ask you for something  May I ask you for it, next days? not too much, only "something" I can't tell here  IP: Logged |

sorry, raider, but I do not see the pic here and neither if I copy and past in the address bar  anyhow, if I remember well I did tell you that you bike was finally a good example of a bike fo TR.... So I remember well... The thing I like about Tijay is that he inverted an animation from right to left....  then the fixing of the rotation for the quad bike could be done simply moving meshes with a CAD and position them correctly... but he said he did something DIRECTLY to the rotation axis, so I think this is great.... or is there a tool that does this and I do not know?.... please tell me!
