I am very impressed with your work so far Mr Dix, I believe it is a contest to see who can create the best trees. Of course, it is inevitable that I will win ------------------ Technology is the knack of so arranging the world that we do not experience it. IP: Logged |

Thanks...... glad you all like the shots.....Along way to go before it amounts to anything yet...... only 80 rooms so far and 23 of them are flipmaps...... Not sure about changing the sky..... I had big problems using the coastal sky...... I will have to experiment.... Mr Data..... no competition please.... trees are just to much of a pain to make convincingly! ------------------ I WAS PRESSING THE DARN WALK BUTTON !! CELTIC FOLLY 1-5 IP: Logged |

----to bob5really bob5? LOL anyhow I released only one level, so I hope you actually refer to the Technoegyptians Portal level... my second level is completely "secret" at the moment --- Anyhow, I confirm that this second pic is wonderful (anti-simmetrical as I like and with really beautiful textures.... finally a level with a sky which fits the atmosphere....) can't wait to play it, please give a date of releasing it! oh, ok, afer I posted here I read that this sky is not so beautiful for someone... well I REALLY BEG YOU TO NOT CHANGE IT, as I think it is perfect for this level. (normally I don't like trees with the engine polygons, but I REALLY like the rest)Anyhow there are problems with some sky graphic and horizon, so read carefully instruction about TRWEST on the site of its author. Keep this sky!!!! IP: Logged |

Psiko..... personally I like the sky too.... Its the city one...... I know with TRWEST, you cannot use the cleopal sky and horizon...... you cannot convert the .TOM file if you do. However, I had initially used the coastal sky and horizon but due to the size of the rooms, I was getting horizon breakthrough where the distance was to great to for the game engine to draw the walls. Even with horizon disabled in script, I has the same problem with the coastal sky. Using the city sky and horizon, I get no such problems, thankfully...... ------------------ I WAS PRESSING THE DARN WALK BUTTON !! CELTIC FOLLY 1-5 IP: Logged |

I know it is the city sky and I know you get the problem with huge rooms (the third pic shows it)so, keep that sky! (it looks very good with the kind of texture and illunination you used) IP: Logged |

I would be suprised if you didnt know , Psiko, but what I meant was, when using the coastal sky/horizon..... all the black area in the 3rd shot would be visible as horizon or sky...... It looked horrible!!!! The city horizon and sky dont do this so I will be keeping to these items in my WAD.... ------------------ I WAS PRESSING THE DARN WALK BUTTON !! CELTIC FOLLY 1-5 IP: Logged |

if, as I asked some time ago, we would be able to change the fading black color of far polygons in a custom one, we could have different sky color than black...I think it is a script option, do you know it? I only get a coloured fog for very far polygons (I used white, blue, purple, yellow) which is fine, but I have to enable the TRAIN line... is there anyone who knows now how to do it? we need to change the fading black color of far polygons in something more appealing.... what i wanted was you changing the COLOR, not the horizon, which can be easily changed from editing the script file. I have exactly the same thing happening to my coastal horizon, will be changed too, but not the sky color!------------------ GeckoKid Interactive my ICQ UIN: 20984785 my MSN: geckokidinteractive@hotmail.com IP: Logged |
