you put together all meshes from original lara, didn't you?anyhow, simply find some good texture which link better, then it will look VERY beautiful.... (in tr3 lara's house textures set, there are some good texture you can use for a statue) IP: Logged |

thank youIīve already some good texture, the texture looks like stone yes I put all Lara-pieces together an split the hole object into 3 pieces because at one piece there were too much poly... ------------------ IP: Logged |

Good job, lara statues can be made easily with the 'lara model' oobject in the cleopatra wad. The real problem is texturing them because of finiky strpix painting textures on the opposite polygon that you click... link: http://trlibrary.tripod.com/306a2bd0.jpg Since the lara model object is only two parts, you can paste them together (rrg! scale how I want, not how I say!!) in a CAD program, like Meta. Kinda difficult, but easier than building her from all the little bits. Awesome job, Beeti! [This message has been edited by Raider of Tombs (edited 10-06-2001).] IP: Logged |

Beeti24 your collision problem can be solved in just Three simple Steps:#1 Use a program like TRwest and place PUSHABLE_OBJECT1 from the Tut1 WAD into your Statue WAD. #2 Use Strpix3 and export your Statue objects Mesh into a DXF. #3 Import the Mesh over PUSHABLE_OBJECT1. Now you should have perfect collision for your Statue Object! ^_~ Oh and if you have anymore problems feel free to mail me and i'll try and explain myself better. ------------------ IP: Logged |

he cannot do it as he told that object is actually done with THREE objects as there are too many poligons... you can to this:1) edit object with the trle feature and use the fllor type collision 2) if this does not work, simply make the ceiling of the square above lower and texture it with invisible texture, so you have a wall right collision. for the textures, use texture of a different kind (like white with some grey and black), so we can see all the parts of this statue (now it looks too flat - you can't see the 3D shape... ) IP: Logged |
