Try it out. Just tell me if the 3D preview works or not and tell what graphic card you have and processor speed. Note: rotations don't work yet

install WAD MERGER with runtime (at that same site).

But it didn't work to me all the same, I am waiting for my new pc, and I will tell even to michiel. In the middle, do that installation.

Works great but when I scroll through the animations the 3d preview doesn't change. Is this still to come or a bug.

The rotations aren't working yet. I tried it until a half past 12 but it still didn't work. And the animations are rotations.

Yes, it would be very helpfullier, when every animation of an object is show by the 3D preview.
But good work!!!!

OK, I downloaded it. Didn't know I also needed tr2wad, but I unzipped it and ran it.
I am probably doing something very wrong, or I misunderstand what the program is for. It IS for TR4 levels isn't it?
I tried loading tut1.was, and I got no objects listed. The textures displayed ok, though I'm not sure how you picked it, since it didn't ask. Anyway, nothing else displayed. No list of objects or animations. The 3D window was all blue.
The TRobjects.dll is in the same directory as AI_Edit.

I'm on Win98se. Athlon (original) 750. 256MB ram. ATI AIW-128 32MB.

The window is blue: that's good. It is until you select an object
There are no objects: bad. Try another wad, since on the left all objects need to be visible. Maybe the object names are broken. Try clicking in it.

OK, tried it again. It appears the listbox that lists the objects is displaying invisible text. The objects are actually there, and the scrollbar shows it. If I click on one of the invisible objects, everything seems to work ok. I get the 3D object rotating in the window. The animations and sounds display. But still no text in the object listbox.

I did notice a couple of weird things. In catacomb.was, the 13th object in the list is a badly mutated Lara. And the mummy's head is detached and off to the side. That is as far as I got. Is the skeleton supposed to be purple?

Other than those problems, it works fine, no speed problems.

Purple means transperant in TR.
It seems your tr4objects.dat is broken. Make sure you've installed all files from tr2wad to 1 folder and you run tr2wad (just use it) at least ones so the register settings are good. AI Editor reads the TR2WAD settings in the register to see where the tr4objects.dat file is.
About the bad lara's, it's because the rotations don't work yet and these lara objects are dummy objects.
If you read the post now, come to the chatbox for more help. Will be there the next 30 minutes or longer (I hope)
