Topic: Beneath the forbidden city version 2 is up!

If you have played Beneath the Forbidden City, you don't have to download it again, it hasn't changed a lot but fixed a lot of bugs, and the looping music is no more.
http://jackie.wyk.edu.hk/china/china.zip get it there, same as the old url.
If you don't mind the big download, tell me which version do you fancy more.  ------------------

Thank you very much for this improved version, Geckokid...I’ve started playing the earlier version when it came out, but never finished it, and it was all the fault of that mindboggling looping audio track!BTW, there were two lengthy camera sequences in the level (v1.2), in which I sorely missed some music to accompany them. Is that intentional or is it due to my deleting some of the original audio files (although I deleted only those that couldn't be used in a level anyway)? IP: Logged |

I’m sorry to have put my finger on this oversight... :\ but I hope nobody will refrain from downloading the level just because of that.It’s really quite entertaining, cunningly contrived, and visually stimulating. Well worth the download. Any chance that we get to see a sequel? IP: Logged |

that's why i didn't say 'download it now'! i said 'you don't have to download it again, it hasn't changed a lot...' :P cuz i understand i was lazy! lolacturally a bug fix and retextured + lightened version. not much gameplay has been affected ------------------

as somebody suggested, a MUCH smaller TOM (2.9MB) version zip is released. get it thu http://www.geckokid.com/china/chinatom.zip ------------------

Beneath The Forbidden City was the first ever Custom Level I played and still after all this time it remains one of my favourites. so I thought I would just say thanks for the inspiration!  Crazie J IP: Logged |
