My experience with Norton AV was bad - but that was in the early days - I haven't personally used it since.I also know several people who've had problems, but I suspect that is more a useage / update issue.
Any AV package is only good if it's kept up to date!
I have tried Sophos, have SERIOUSLY BIG clients [ important not 8ft tall
]who swear by it, all my family have tried it and so have many friends - I'm not plugging it though
- I don't get any commission
It's just a personal preference.
Grisoft's AVG is good (And FREEEEEE), and the authors approach / attitude is V Good.
CA InoculateIT Personal Edition is V good and free - but they have dicontinued the availability of the installation / setup program to promote their new product.
ZoneAlarm gets consistently good reviews and is dead easy to set up
I can give URL's to the D/L pages to anyone interested, and will chat on MSN or elsewhere to assist in setup
