In Pwhirl's forum they have something to where each time you come back, there is a red highlighted folder icon next to the post to tell you what topics had replies to them since your last visit.

It's nice because you don't have to read the posts over again to see if there are any responces.

If it's possibele, I think that would improve the forums.

this forum already has that feature
if you login to the forum from http://www.eidosgames.com you will see red folders in front of every post that has been updated the last time you visit
