Yes, It's that time of year again. Gather your family around the fire and start rosting those various assorted cookables and sing/lecture about tales long forgotten from other Off-topic threads. (P.S, just so this thread does not slow down so much, please refrain from using sigs unless for a sig test)IP: Logged |

Emma starts to sing her favourite christmas carol......."Rudolf the red nose reindeer, Had a very shiny nose (like a lightbulb) And if you ever saw it You would even say it glows (like a lightbulb) All of the other reindeers Used to laugh and call him names (like pinoccio) They never let poor rudolf Join in other reindeer games (like monopoly) Then one foggy christmas eve Santa came to say, Rudolf with your nose so bright, won't you guide my sleigh tonight? Oh how the reindeers loved him As they shouted out with glee (hehe) Rudolf the red nose reindeer You'll go down in history (like George Washington) IP: Logged |

ahh, the experiment was a failure. While a clone was created, it vaporized upon contact with my dimension. Apparantly trans-dimensional cloning still has it's faults... perhaps I will try again later. I could have sworn that the allignment of the stars and the fact that this was my 700th post would have been the deciding factors in the success of the experiment...[This message has been edited by Raider of Tombs (edited 10-17-2001).] IP: Logged |

question: does anyone know where I can download a program that can automaticly delete registry values?when you make a .reg file, you can ADD keys and values, but I'm looking for a program that can DELETE values from the registry that works just like a uninstall program that removes values from the registry when the program has to be deleted

I use 'RegClean' which removes unused entries from the registry file. I also recommend 'Tweak UI'. I've never had any problems with them. I can email both of them to you if you like (they're small files). WBM

I am a lego technic/mindstorms guru! 4-time Mindstorms battle bot all out champion at engineering camp! My bot was direct-driven with two simultaneous motors per wheel, providing a few pounds of foreward thrust, and two alternating motors on a pneumatic pump assembly with a switch motor to control pneumatic pressure direction. Controlled by infrared link with a fourth RCX and four touch sensors linked up with a port splitter. Powered by Duracell (expect nothing less) and programmed in C++ with Nqc! In all, 'Destructor' ousted 34 other bots, and tied with 3. Of course I could not have done any of it without the little aquazone badguy and monkey sitting on the top, they made all the difference is the close battles...IP: Logged |

oh, I forgot to mention that it has to be fully automatic for instance, when you make a .reg file, you click on it and the keys/values gets imported into the registry automaticly I found a way to use a .reg file to DELETE registry KEYS, but I need to remove values so I need something that can make an .exe file or something that you only have to click on, to delete some specific registry VALUES any help would be appriciated IP: Logged |

Hey Driber....There are 2 tools (from Microsoft I think) called Rexx and Kix To my knowledge they both support Registry access and can be run in command script mode. i.e. Rexx and Kix can both be run as 'command ' or from batch filesAlso Windows Scripting Host supports these functions - if it's installed & activated [This message has been edited by Conan the Barbarian (edited 10-27-2001).] IP: Logged |

Latest version of Kix(tart) at http://www.kixtart.org/ also see http://www.robvanderwoude.com/index.html for example scripts On the Rexx front either I got my wires crossed or there are 2 products out ther with the same name - but Kix should do the job. It needs to be run either on the client machine, or across an NT client/server architecture with sufficient administrative privilages.

Really, Data - is your knowledge of technology limited to solid state devices? In the old days, Vacuum tube based computers used to humm both during warm up and operation..... Before that, calulating engines whirred and clanked.... (and the steam driven ones hissed and chuffed) The Hmmmm at the beginning of a post clearly indicates a post-mechanical but pre-solid state computational device comming up to speed ------------------ Conan the Barbarian email: conanthebarbarian@ntlworld.com a.k.a.
