I´ve seen this kind of sound in Hokolo´s level "Caves of Pandora".

It´s simple.
You can just make a WAV file with the alarm sound (or download it from the net, there are many sound effects sites out there) and put it in the audio folder to be triggered with a CD trigger.

What do you mean with sound samples?

Do you mean how to actually record the sound?
Well you´ll need the actual alarm, a good microphone and a sound recorder obviously... I think it´s better to download the sound from somewhere.

I think I have a few alarm sounds in some sampling CDs I have here in the studio. If you like I can send it to you. E-mail me.

They are a little short, because they were made to be looped in the sampler. So you´ll need to edit them the way you like. I use Sound Forge to do that. But it can be done in almost all sound editing softwares.

What Hokolo did was replacing one of the files in the audio folder with the alarm sound he made. Then he triggered it with a simple CD trigger.

That is still not the way i meant.
It must be done with.
wait.
go to trle in your own computer.
then open sounds and then samples and you''l see all the sounds thatr are in trle.
now.
Go to sounds again and open the other directory.
Open the script file sounds and you'll see which sounds are used for every level.
Some how this is changeble but i don't know how.
does anybody else know how to do this?

Just pick one of the sounds you don't need. Replace the name of the sound with the name of your own sound. To make sure it builds into your level, somewhere after the pound sign (#) put the lowercase letter g. Then rebuild the sounds.

Of course you know you play it with a flipeffect.

Can you tell me that.

In sounds.txt there is a list of sounds with a name. Those are the names that show up when you place a Sound into the level. The names correspond to a fixed number, and that is the number you use in a Flip Effect, in the timer value.
I have a list of sound names and their numbers if you want them. I have them sorted by name and by number, standard text files or Excell spreadsheet.

Here's how to make alarm sounds:

Go into a school, pull the fire alarm, record it onto a cassette, then convert it to WAV format.

Sent psiko. Anyone else?
I also have all the wad slot names and numbers. You can see every object it is possible to put into a wad. It helps find a good place to put custom objects so they have the right animations.
