I've had the following error for the past couple of weeks -

Unable to open C:\Program Files\Core Design\trle\graphics\wads\costal.SAM for reading:2

This also happens with tut1, settomb, karnak, cleopal, catacomb and city wads aswell!!! Can someone tell me how to fix this???

go to the graphics\wads folder, press CTRL+A, then ALT+ENTER
now see if the "read only" checkbox is checked or graychecked
if it is, uncheck it and press OK

then try to load the wad again in TRwest

I've tried that and it wasn't checked. But I checked it and uncheced it again, then apply and ok but it still happens?

download a custom wad and see if that works
if it does, re-install the LE with ONLY the wads checked, so the setup only overwrites the wadfiles
