What kind of an outside room do you want? The best way to create the illusion of 'outside' is to have canyon walls or steep sand dunes block your way. There is no way to do an endless horizon unless you want the player to be able to bump into it. Take a look at the big open room in the coastal prj, or the open air rooms at the begining of the karnak prj. The best ones are really the coastal open spaces. A problem with making large spaces is the fading horizon problem, but as you can see in the coastal rooms, buildings and dunes are strategically placed so as to prevent you from noticing this. Experiment!

ummmm... click the O button -above the bound, copy, select, and other buttons- to make her hair move.
then take the black tile -under the flip pallet button- and texturize the ceiling of the room to see the sky, and do the same to the walls where you want to see the horizon.*
Then texture grass, cement, or any other outside textures where you want 'em

*If the sky and horizon are enabled with the wad.

The horizon is already included in the level - you don't need to place it. Just texture the walls with the black transparant, and it will be there.
