Geckokid, Not sure what your real name is, but mine is Matthew. Purchase TR Chronicles w/LE about a wek ago..I am very familiar with level editing and all, but not the problem I have ran inot..I have built a single room with a couple columns and some steps..very basic texture and lighting(I basically went off the tuorial demo). When I go to save the level it says Texture meshes:505 Null:205..then it stops and says error in Kernel.dll and then kicks me out..any ideas or know of anywhere I can ask..any response is appreciated..sorry to bug you too..awesome levels you made too!
PS one other thing is my tutorial freezes whenever I try to have Lara shoot her pistols..should I reload the whole program or find a patch?

I had that editor message when I did an error changing my Lara's skin or when I did something very wrong to the wad AFTER I modified my Lara. Every object I tried to put in the wad with TRWest created a not working wad.

I had that problem even when I modified an object (if I remember well it was the pushable one) in the original CITY wad. But the same object didn't gave that problem in the original tut1.wad even if new meshes were exactly the same.

Then I had the gunflash problem with lara (when she tries to shoot) when I did a mess with my custom lara and TRWest.

So, basically, I think it is a WAD problem for the customization, for both questions.

Kernel.dll errors are serious system errors - it sounds like he needs to install the latest Direct-X and make sure that all of his hardware drivers are up to date. Also - is he using Windows 95 (it frequently gives Kernel.dll errors)? If he is using Win 95 I recommend he upgrade to Win 98 (but not Win 2000 or NT as they are not able to support as much hardware).

actually I had the mesh and null error message every time I imported a wrong DXF with the strpix in the wad...

but the matter about the kernel.dll is right..

I am matthew..I reinstalled my TRLE and things are working fine now..I can play the editor and even the levels I have built..but the problem with Lara shooting her guns is still there..the entire system crashes, and yes I am running ME..
any help on this is still needed for the simple fact that I cannot put enemiea in my levels yet.

I have another question? I am just learning how to use TRLE and doing ok so far, but I am uncertain how to make doors..the tutorial didnt help much..I have the idea of making the doors, but I am unclear how to bring all my rooms together on the map to connect the doors..
any advice out there?
