Topic: flash light and "laras diary" objects

i was rooting around in trwest and noticed in catacomb.WAD there is the flash light anim and the flash light object.has anyone got it working? you can also see the flash light in strpix3. i read when trlr was released she would have both objects, the diary to tell you about her past or somethingand the flashlight. although NEITHER made it into the final game. any ideas on how to get them working? i would love to try but my trle isn't working at the mo' IP: Logged |

Yeah, I've seen both of those in strpix... I'll bet it's possible - The anim is probably her holding the flashlight with a gun. the problem will be if all the code is there, because it is probably combined with guns, or at least is used in conjunction with them. All these combinations had to be coded, but if they were there, and if the animation works, and if there aren't any big script changes needed, this would be rather cool. I would imagine it would have a similar effect as the motorbike headlight...IP: Logged |

It doesn't necessarily have to do with guns. It could have her use a flashlight instead of flares.

I've been working on the Flashlight for a short time now..
I believe it's really possible.

I don't think the flaslight is in her guns. It must be in the binoculars(try pressing Ctrl when using the binoculars and you'll understand me).------------------

I have not seen these objects in the catacomb wad or any other wad. I know about the binoculers. Anyway, on the box from the CD they tell Lara will have a flashlight but i never saw it so i thought it was the bino. Does anyone want to send a wad with these objects so i can test and see them for myself. I would be nice to see and use an object that is left out.
