First read the manual carefully. There are good info on how to connect doors vertically and horizontally. If your rooms are going to be side by side, make sure they are really side by side checking the floor and ceiling values, which should be the same for both rooms. Then, in 2D view, move one of them until it touches the othher with the side it should be connected. Then click over the gray wall squrares of this room in the 2D grid (top left of the Editor) to select the wall squares for the door. The squares should have a red outline now. Click on the Door button. IP: Logged |

You need to look at the map in 2D viewThen arrange the rooms next to each other but not overlapping then select the grey blocks that are to be the doorway and click the black door button and - shazzam - instant door Make sure the floor and / or ceiling are level. To join rooms vertically make sur the ceiling level of the lower is the same as the floor of the upper by using the ceiling / floor / room +/- buttons as appropriate Be careful to avoid wafer thin walls - see my demo room prj and pix http://homepage.ntlworld.com/david_thorn/WTW/joinroom.PRJ http://homepage.ntlworld.com/david_thorn/WTW/1.jpg http://homepage.ntlworld.com/david_thorn/WTW/2.jpg http://homepage.ntlworld.com/david_thorn/WTW/3.jpg ------------------ Conan the Barbarian email: conanthebarbarian@ntlworld.com a.k.a. I got the doors ok..that was my fault..just didnt think clearly..next question? Is there any way to make ledges or balconied..something that Lara can stand on but also have floors underneath? Do I just make floors ontop of one another and that would be a ledge for a floor above but nothing beneath..did I answer my own question?

Yes it is possible!Build your 2 rooms And adjust the room height (room +/-) in readiness for joining But before you link them vertically..... Go into the upper room and raise a ledge around the edge by raising the floor 1 (or more) click(s) Now when you join the rooms the upper will have a ledge which will appear at he join of the 2 rooms ------------------ Conan the Barbarian email: conanthebarbarian@ntlworld.com a.k.a. I hate to do this, ...well, maybe I like it a little.....ok, I love it -- RTFM. Go thru the tutorial and do exactly what it says to do. After you are done with that, you will know all the basics of level building. There are no shortcuts, the time you spend asking questions and waiting for answers could be spend doing the tutorial. You really won't save any time by just jumping into it.

Nah - reading the manual spoils the excitement .... and is the last resort - only when you have spent fruitless hours searching should you even consider such an act! Where would science, philososphy, theology etc. be if everyone sat down and read the manual? Think of the chaos it would cause the farming community, food production industries and supermarkets if we all went out and hunted our own food.... Better to have it served up on a plate :P Only teasing - BTW - MatthewJ Hav a look at http://homepage.ntlworld.com/david_thorn/WTW/doors.PRJ and http://homepage.ntlworld.com/david_thorn/WTW/doors2.PRJ They're not all textured but they show what you're asking The tut1 tga and wad are the ones used ------------------ Conan the Barbarian email: conanthebarbarian@ntlworld.com a.k.a.
