I went to this post and was instantly fwd to XETH's site. The person used an iframe (free floating frame) in their post which held this site http://mitglied.tripod.de/RESIDENTXETH/Enter.htm . When gone to, it has a java script(i think, but i know it has some script) that fwds you to his site. Lombard orwhatever his name is, happens to obviously be XETH. If you want go to the site i mentioned and instantly hit stop load and click view source code to see his html.I think putting a post with no relvance is rude and obtrusive. It rapes the purpose of the original post and should not be tolerated! ------------------

I agree with both of you.
I also use iframe in my posts to include my flash sig, as do the community pages.
It would be sad to see html disabled.
however it may be our only choice, as some people have over 200 IP's
the troll in question, has been in here under several different names tonight so this may be the case. well..

I'm going to speak to Pwhirl and hopefully get Xeth banned from his forum, and I'm going to see if I can get the admins and other mods together to discuss the issue of XETH. I'm sorry that particular post by Fearful Symmetry was ruined by XETH. I can assure you that we are trying to deal with these trolls.------------------

An IP banning is not ideal as several people can share the same IP. So if we banned a persons IP it could end up banning another member along with it.------------------

We as well have taken steps. With any luck Xeth may soon be getting an inquiry from the local ISP, since we contacted the appropriate UK agency with our report of abuse and supporting evidence.Xeth's actions are abusive of the right to on-line access and we have closed many accounts that this particular troll has registered as. At the present time we have disabled HTML and UBB code, but may turn it back on soon. However, the best way to deal with trolls is to either laugh at them for being so stupid (although I find troll behavior to be pathetically sad in most cases - whiny cries for attention that could better be directed in a healthy way, like playing basketball making more TR levels or playing Thief) or better yet to ignore them as best you can. Anytime you see a topic or post that does not belong here (like the in-frame re-direct) please continue to let the forum moderators and the administraors (myself and Redlegg41) know, and we will continue to delete-ban-and-eventually-maybe-get-the-authorities-to-take-action.
In the interests of sharing information amongst those who may have a use for it...
