What does pulse do?

In some levels you can hear Lara's heart beat sound. Maybe this enables the heart beat sound.

Do you know the light where the horus statue is standing. (Seccond level is seth standing there)
That light.
It isn't a object so it must be that pulse.

You can hear it in "The base"(TRC) and in the title of TRC(I think)

The sounds is the background music, dude. If you insert the tr1 or tr2 cd and play some track, you hear it. It's also in the high secuarity compound.
