I am currently in the process of learning how to create my own objects and re-meshing Lara.

I will want to create Wall objects to put more detail in my levels (like diagonal walls and curved windows) and what I would like to know is, Has anyone created a guide or knows the size of how big a square is and how high clicks are etc
Also things like how many objects can be put in a level, and just general boundaries that I might come up against.

I would think it would be great if loads of us got into making things like this, and take TRLE to the next step.

Thanks Guys

Edit
OMG !! Ive just had a revelation why dont i make a object that looks like a click up and place it in the air so you dont have to mess around connecting doors to create ledges

I am sooooo GOOD and you know it ..........but doesnt care

squares are 10,24x10,24 units large

this means 2,56 for each TRLeditor click of floor or ceiling up and down.

But the more you build detailed rooms with many obects (both in the prj either in the wad), the less you will be able to build new rooms in your level.

Thanks for the info
I presume you mean the more objects i have in a level the less rooms i can have, is there a standard limit to the objects one can use, without affecting room usage?

I know the limits but I know it only how to manage them once I reach the maximum amount of polygons. This means, once I cannot add rooms in my level, I know what I can do in order to avoid crashes to the desktop.

I was even trying to build an updated game aimed to modern machines. But it is impossible if you want to build an actual level with this engine. For example I build a room completely with pipes. Well, I had to give up to it, and rebuild it normally. Then, don't use more than 255 objects for the same static item (did it, but the game crash).. so, this shows you that we have software limitations (TRLE engine), not for the machines we have.
