I think that all the tools created by you guys are cool, I mean realy the bomb. And I use them often. Is there somebody out there who is looking or working on a tool that will let users expand the animation or memory of the editor? Or maybe a tool that can extract Lara's animations to seperate them from certain objects and reassign them to others? Like for example if you could see the animation for Lara opening double doors on other doors? I think the biggest set back for me is 256 objects. Almost everything you put into your level counts as an object. So what about a tool that could expand this, or edit the files so a object didnt realy count as an object or show up and be registered in the editor?Hey these are just some ideas, I have no knowledge of program writing, but I think you guys are very smart, so whats up, give me some details and fall backs. What are you working on right now? Do you have a program your using but not ready to share yet? IP: Logged |

First, I'm not a programmer, but I think that what you want (memory expanding/higher object limit) is pretty impossible. Well, not impossible, but it would be very hard, since those limits are hardcoded in the TRLE and TR4 exe files. But then again, I have no proof for this, it's merely what I think is plausible and probably true.IP: Logged |

It would require reprogramming the game engine (tomb4). It is not just a matter of the use of main memory, but how that is transferrred to the video card. People with less video memory wouldn't be able to play your levels, or the frame rate would drop too low. Learn to deal with the limitations you have. The Core level designers had to do it this way.

Alright hold up a minute.....I didnt intend for anybody to take my post as a editor bash. I just wanted to throw some ideas out there for the people who are interested in other peoples thoughts. I am on the other hand happy with the editor, so please dont kick meIP: Logged |

I am not sure about the legal implications of even the third party tools let alone taking the editor apart as well. However, perhaps Core design will at some point release another editor similar to the one that they constructed TR5 with.------------------ 'ZING' is not a word that I am familiar with, however I will make an exception to 'YOINK'. I don't think it was meant as an editor bash, but merely to point out the limitations of the LE, that's all as for those ideas: it's much appriciated...if there weren't people with ideas, TRwest, Stripx and all those other un-missable tools wouldn't even be here ------------------ zip it! ziiiip!
