Righty, they all downloaded into a folder. Each object in the folder is in the form of a simple text document. However, most of them can't be opened because they are too large for Simple Text. I don't understand what the read me thing means about copying as wads into graphics. Can you help? IP: Logged |

The files should be zip files - you do have Winzip right? ( if not you can get it here http://www.winzip.com/ )Otherwise the download may not have been handled properly - could simply be a matter of renaming the files to "whatever".zip On the other hand you may have to redo the download ------------------ Conan the Barbarian email: conanthebarbarian@ntlworld.com a.k.a. Dont they have winzip for a MAC!!!!??? If there is not then i must apoligize. I thought winzip should work on a MAC. Hi Gecko, i do not mind that you host my levels but i didnt want to because there a still a few bugs and i want to solve them. My site has some problems that i cannot fix right now. When it works you will find the final updated version without any bugs. Hi, Rene IP: Logged |

Winzip isn't available for the Mac, however you could try a Windows-Emulator for the Mac or just ask the author to send you the level (files) unzipped------------------ zip it! ziiiip! (tm) by Dr. Evil (c) All rights reserved

Am I going to need this for every custom level I want to play? I'd like to know this before I get this. I have an aversion to Windows....... Thanks. .

Hi Acceber, strange there is no winzip for the MAC because i just thought that i had e-mails from people who played on a MAC. And i even send them a winzip file to them and they could open it. I can reach this person and i will ask how he did it. If i could i would send you the complete files to you but i have just a normal modem and this uploading would take a half a day. So i am very sorry that i cannot send them to you. I will contact this MAC player now and i will reply here to answer how he did it.Hi, Rene To Gecko, It is very nice that you want to put my updated version to host. I have not updated my projects yet cause i have not much time at the moment. Till that time my site will be back (hopefully) so i can put my levels back. You may update from there and if my site does not work then i will send it to you OK. Thanks, Rene IP: Logged |

It worked fine for me with Stuffit Expander. Acceber, do you have this? Stuffit opens any zip. files, even from PCs, and should have come free with a new computer. What MAC do you have?IP: Logged |

Hi Kris, I think we had a conversation over on the TR Series forum about Macs, did we not?? You are a fellow Scot......Right, I have Aladdin stuff-it... I think.... it's an iMac, OS 9.2, brand spanking new. I downloaded them, and all the files are like blank pages ending in .zip. When I double click it asks me if I want to stuff-it or whatever, but it did this automatically wheN I downloaded, so I don't think I need to do that again, do I? Arrggghhh, I'm probably just really thick and don't know what to do properly. Can you tell me what to do , step by step, from when I very first download. Cos they're all sitting on my desktop, just waiting. I've got the Wads, the Audio and the main thing..... Gee, do I sound thick yet? Thanks, I'd really appreciate it. An idiot's guide to LE playing..... You could market it..... btw, just looked at your posting times... you downloaded them all in ten minutes???!!!!! Gads, they took me about 15 minutes for each one!!! [This message has been edited by Acceber (edited 11-19-2001).] IP: Logged |

OK, piega, I got your mail. I already have that programme apparently though, but thankyou for sending it to me. I just can't figure out how to install it though. Perhaps you, or someone else could help. quote: INSTALLING "THE LAST CRUSADE"
THE WADS,
The first 2 levels are used with the same wad. You can install it in 2 different ways.
1. (The easy way) Copy the wads into the graphics, wads directory.
Open TRwest and load the "crusade.was" wadfile. Save it as "crusade2.was".
You can now convert "crusade.tom" and "crusade2.tom" seperatly.
2. (The hard way) Copy the wads into the graphics, wads directory.
Copy "crusade2.tom" into the graphics, wads directory.
Rename it to "crusade.tom". Convert the .tom file.
Go to the DATA map and rename the made "crusade.tr4" file back
to "crusade2.tr4". After that install the other "crusade.tom"
file over the old renamed "crusade.tom" file. Convert...
And finally convert "crusade3.tom"
These are your instructions for installing the game. I have ruled out the first "easy" way because I can't find anything called TRwest. When you say "convert" something, do you mean just change the ending to "was"? Or do I have to do something different? I am really confused, feel extremely thick, but as I want to play this level, I will persevere. Thanks for your help, anyone, in advance. IP: Logged |

Hi Acceber, i saw you got this program already and i thought it was another program but i see you have opened it.I presume that you have the level editor right? The disk you got with chronicles? Go to this directory of the "trle". There you see all the maps like audio, graphics, script, maps etc. Now you can copy the files of my levels in the right maps. TRwest will not work i think so u use option 2. Copy crusade2.TOM in the graphics, wads directory and rename it to crusade.TOM. Now go to the start menu and select "level converter". Click on "add" and select the tom file "crusade.TOM". Click "build" and the level will be build and put in the DATA map. Go to the DATA map and rename crusade.tr4 to crusade2.tr4. Now put crusade.TOM in the graphics wad directory. Dont rename this one but just build. Then convert crusade3.TOM. Replace the script.dat and english.dat with the other ones in the root directory. Also copy strings.h in this. Run Tobraider, select new game and TATA, if you did everything right you wind up in "The Last Crusade" A note, the crusade.TOM file does not show information while converting! This is because this is the biggest one of all 3 and it's a known problem. Wait till you can move the converter window then the building is done. Pffewwwuu, hope you get it to work, Rene IP: Logged |
