Hiya, I just got so tired of cutting and pasting to restore my script and english files I wrote a tool that does it for you -
Re-Script Download Page
Now you don't have to keep backup text files.

Excellent.

'ZING' is not a word that I am familiar with, however I will make an exception to 'YOINK'.

All this did for me was to crash the editor so that I had to re-install it. Just thought you should know.

What? I just ran it again, and it worked fine! How did it crash? Did the load screen appear? Did the game crash when you tried to play a level? The program restores the revised scripts (with the script for the new wads), could that be it?

You shouldn't have to reinstall the editor to fix a script problem. If worst comes to worst you can do a selective reinstall and only install the script folder. This is ver weird. As far as I know you're the oly person who has had trouble with the program. Please elaborate on what happened so I can figure out what went wrong in your case.
