I have finaly edited my first object. since no one would help do it for me. I used rino 3d. I first exported the object from stripix 3. Then edited it in rino then. saved the dxf file as one of the past posts said to do.
then I imported it back into stripix 3. And it automaticaly replaced the old object, and kept the texures. just like I whanted it to do. Then I saved the stripix. and opened the editor and when I opened that wad it crashed.
So I remeber someone saying You had to put it in another wad and then use trwest to put it in the wad you wanted. So I was glad I made backup copies of the wad. and then used trwest to do the transfer. then I opened up the editor snd started the wad agian. It worked...........Except insted of my object it was part of laras gun & holster. god please help me...........

I was that one, but actually it is said in the strpix readme.

Anyhow I think you did since the beginning an error as I said to import the object in a OFFICIAL wad, even renamed, then import it in YOUR own wad with TRWest... this means that if you use YOUR wad previously edited with trwest you already won't have a working wad. This means also that the wad you open with strpix as possible as you can, must be NOT edited with trwest, even if sometimes there are no problems of compatibility.

When you get problems, this means you edited wrongly a wrong moveable or an "untouchable" moveable.

This suggests to you to tell me which object you want to substitute, I mean the original one... and which of the OFFICIAL wad you edited with strpix. Remember to edit only REVISED and NEW wads even if you rename them to keep a safe copy, or you'll get a mess among normal wad and revised....

Then, try to edit TRWest-wads cracked from TR4-cd as less as it is possible. This is NOT an absolute "law", but it needs a little bit of time to get experienced of which objects you surely won't get problems with, when you need them to modify with strpix.

For example, I found that 80% of trwest-wad cracked objects don't give me problems when I remesh them, but sometimes it actually happens....
