I have just upgraded my pc, to kick *** status.

now the editor runs waaaay to fast. and has the very VERY annoying habit of spining furiously when i use the cursor keys.

Also what is the limit for a file.

I.E. memory allowed. My level resets back to desktop when i use more than 75 rooms. could i be using too many textures.

Any ideas thanx

Running too fast has been a common problem. It runs fine on my Athlon 750.

Lots of things could make it go back to the desktop. You didn't really give much information. It could be a script proble, a WAD problem, textures, Lara is missing, some sounds are missing, and lots of other things.

I got the same problem as you do. I just thought it was my darn keyboard. I got a celron 500 w/ 192 mb of ram. I can get it to stop by clicking on the task bar, and by radicaly pressing all the cursor keys for about 10 seconds. And as for your texture memory the max is about 2300. and you can check this in the converter............Hope this will help you

tex max amount is 4 mega's.

Check TRWest info once you build your wad. If it says "2.6 mega's for textures" you can use 1,4 mega's for texture in the prj.

This means 4 mega's in total for the wad and the prj.

Anyhow, I got that "fast" problem too, and I cannot go over 84 rooms.

well i have thrown in the towel, i design allot of levels and this is just has too many quirks. doesn't work on many machines and works fine on others regardless of cpu speed or card, its just yer luck. I am going back to my other projects. This is more than my time is worth. Good luck to those who seem to use the editor with no problems, and have fun for those who cant but keep trying.
