hiya:

i have a room thats above a water room with a one block portal in the floor. how do i place a closed door over the portal on the floor. i wanna use a lever switch to open the door to the water room . i can place the door and move it around the portal, but i cant get it to lay flat over the portal.

ok, try putting the door in the bottom room...not on the top room.....

oh, and when you place the door in the bottom room, right below the opening, use the w and s button to raise the object or lower it when you have it highlighted

Im not the type to be bitchy Ultimate Reality But i think that the excell thing would be good for newbe's and Ive posted my reasons for doing so , one little post about it shouldnt require you to tell me off for it.

and I wonder why you did , its that type of attitude that has caused many problems in the past so lets just chill out and be friendly we are just here to help

Im really sorry stickit to post this reply especially since it doesnt help you any, but most of us are friendly and helpful and in the end that is what this forum is for

ultimate, i put the door in the bottom room but its standing up in the upper room instead of laying flat over the portal .. is their something i should put type in the ocb..

try putting the door on the ceiling of the bottom room

do this by deleted the doorway, then put the door object, then make the doorway again

Some types of doors only work in vertical portals. Some are designed to lay flat on the floor or ceiling. Try something in one of the floor or ceiling trapdoor slots in the wad.
