I used TR2PRJ to convert the 1st level of India into a .prj then I noticed that where the mud is the room has the NL button activated in the plan view panel. what I want to know is is it possible to create mud using the buttons that Core said aren't used for anything? or has anyone else tried it?Crazie J ------------------ If ingnorance is bliss I'm in heaven!!! Whatever it used to do, it doesn't do it in the version we have. But you can still turn it on if you want to.

As far as I found out NL stands for "no lensflare". This button turns off the lensflare effect (if any) for this room. You probably can avoid some otherwise weird effects with this - I guess.btw: newbie says hello to all forum members IP: Logged |

Well, sorry guys, but NL for No Lensflare is not right. A longt time ago weīve discussed that in the German forum. We found out the following: We donīt know why NL is pressed in the coastal Level, but it doesnīt mean No Lensflare. Somebody from the German forum tried that in his/her Level and it didnīt work. Tomo did the following: He loaded his House Level into the LE and pressed the Button NL in every room. After that, he made a *.tr4 file. Then he converted the *.tr4 file to a *.tr2 file (he didnīt say how he had done that). After that, he renamed his Level into house.tr2 and played his Level in a cracked TR3 demo as Laras House in the main menu. Effect: Lara was overall in mud...in every Room. Tomo tested some combinations with other buttons in tr4, but no combination has had a new effect. It even didnīt change the Room at all. Well, so we got to know, that is in no sense usefull. Even not for No Lensflare. cu danielIP: Logged |

Hi Daniel! Well, I did not say that in a different TR-Engine this button would not have a different effect. At least in my trle mac version resp. played by using the mac tr level player it does exactly what I described above: no lensflare effect for this particular room. I just checked it again. Maybe this is really different from the PC versions? Could you give it a try if possible and tell about? maxx IP: Logged |
