Sorry but i got the virus aswell without knowing. I have the old version of outlook express and it has a leak so the virus installs without the message to write it on the disk or to open it. I had many people in my adress book so i am very sorry if you got it. These are the ones,

What does the virus do? Don't think i have it yet...........

basically any emails from you don't read them?

One way to check if you have the virus is to do a file search using 'Find'. Search for the file kernal32.exe in your windows\system directory. Don't confuse with a legitimate file called kernal32.dll which you probably will have.

dhama: do your instructions apply for a Mac?

Maybe a PC virus won't affect Mac OS......

P.S. I just searched my comp and it doesn't have that file.... I think i'll be fine cos I'm not on a PC. *fingers crossed*

W32/Badtrans-B not only infects and spreads

- It drops the Trojan Troj/PWS-AV to log a user's keystrokes in a file named cp_25389.nls in the Windows system directory.

The log of keystrokes may be encrypted.

This file is then sent to a variety of email addresses.

This means if you get infected your information is open to hackers!
