Well maybe someone had the idea before, but I thought of it ages ago and it works, but I forgot to tell yaz. It's about makin cut-scenes, I don't know how to put them in your games but I know how to make them easily and effectively. You need something called screencorder which an old version of it is free, it basically records what happens on your PC. Then you make a level that you want to appear in your cut-scene. Place camera's everywhere though so it doesn't look in-gamey, and you can use the look key @ a distance from the camera without lara turning see-through so you can move her head, and also walkin looks better than running. Then set any actions you want to happen, whether it be baddies, doors or traps etc... Then activate screencorder, run your level and do what you want to do, and it'll save to an AVI file (sounds are recorded too). If you want speech use another tool to mix in some voices. I hope this helps you guys, and good luck

Incredible. There may be a way of including one in a custom level. Lets see.

I don't think you know what I mean Ultimate.Reality, Not takin loads of screens n puttin em in I mean recordin you playin a level thats made like a set. And you obviously didn't think of it before coz A) you'd have done it and B) you never found the tools to do it. Also I have no intention of puttin it into a cut file, I just mean you could release it as an AVI with your level and they could look @ it first.

Sage,

I am surprised that as a Moderator that you are intent on putting new ideas down. Aren't you supposed to encourage development rather than stifle it?

I agree with WBM. You are the strangest moderator I've ever known. Also, your website, which is good at the moment, is behind. You said that your site contained an underwater suit, but the link does not exist.

I most whole heartedly agree with the others Mr Sage, let us have a little more 'bedside manner' in fitting with your moderating post.

The prog rules , i even found an avi editor so you can cut copy and paste and import bitmaps the only problem with the prog is the frame rate is too slow for a smooth cutscene next version should be better

Ouch!

That has gotta hurt.
Sage might be having a bad day guys. Give him some space (although that doesn't necessarily mean I agree with the tone, but as I said, bad day perhaps?)

Actually yes i've had some pretty bad days lately..
And i'm not putting down the idea, It's just it was thought of before..
Too many people get excited over the same re-used ideas..
I'm sorry I just can't stand to see people get there hopes up over things we already tried.

If I find time after chrimbo i'll do a demo of it for ya. And to Sage, When did someone think of it before? I don't remember or did it happen before I joined...? Anyway later guys

Altering the number of colors to 256 is another way of getting a smooth flow.
