You will need a CAD program ( i have no idea what this stands for) 3D creator Rhino 1.1 is a popular one, you can create an object and with Stripx 3 import that object into the wad , you can also re-mesh lara, baddies and current objects.

Do a search and download Rhino 1.1 (evaluation (25 saves), dont ask) it looks complicaded but his has a useful tutorial which will help you get to grips with it

email me if you want more help with it

I believe it is possible to construct a robot similar to the one from the Tombraider movie, however, because of the limitations of the objects size (255 is the limit for the maximum amount vertices that can be used in each object) it would be near impossible to create it.
Also you would have to create each part of the robot seperately and then perhaps import each limb using Strpix over an original characters limb so that you would have some kind of animation at least.
I believe it would take a lot of work, however, if you believe you would like to attempt this, Good luck.

'ZING' is not a word that I am familiar with, however I will make an exception to 'YOINK'.

The animations for tihs creature will be nearly impossible. The only thing close to it that I can think of is the spider from tr3. Good luck - although I would not reccommend this as a begining custom object project.

But he doesn't, so he has to work with what he can get. (If I had 3ds max - I could do some serious shi-stuff!)

My dream weapon is a double-roped harpoon gun:

Sleek and black with dual yellow airtanks, you fire it into a wall (PAFFT!), then into another wall (PAFFT!), and zipline down!

Or perhaps trip-wire explosives: Set the bomb on a wall (complete with beeping sound and lcd numbers) and tack in the end of the trip wire somewhere else. Anything touches the wire - BOOM!

Or rappelling down walls with ropes...

Or hauling yourself up a super steep incline with a pick-axe in each hand...

Or blasting away with a tripod-mounted chaingun...

drool....
