It looks like she's on an invisible floor, because everything is blackness except you can see the horizon. Also her hair goes up at an angle (no matter which way you turn) indefinitely, and when you jump she just hangs there and then drops down. The room is fully textured and the triggers are set right. What am I doing wrong?IP: Logged |

Check the finish trigger in your first level. Make sure the level number is right for the order of levels in the script file. Also check that the timer is zero. If not, the game looks for a LARA_START_POSITION with that number. If there isn't one, it might be placing you outside of your map area.

But if I don't type in a timer number, how does it know which LARA_START_POS to go to?IP: Logged |

You don't need a LARA_START_POS unless you are going back and forth between levels, and need her to start in different places. If you are just going from level 1 to level 2, Lara will start wherever you put Lara in level 2.If you are going back and forth, and NEED the LARA_START_POS, then you have to use the timer value. Just make sure there is a matching LARA_START_POS in the second level. Oh, just remembered a little testing I did with this once. I had problems with it, too, and ended up in total blackness. It was because it wasn't finding the right LARA_START_POS. Believe it or not, the numbers don't always match. Check out catacomb.prj. It lets you go to a couple of levels and come back. Find the LARA_START_POS objects and finish triggers in catacomb.prj. Then find them in the other levels. The numbers don't all match, they seem to be in sequential order. I was never able to get this working quite right. This is one area where we REALLY NEED documentation from Core. Again, if you don't NEED the LARA_START_POS, don't use it.

You single-handedly saved every one of my levels! I had NO idea you could just disable "Play Any Level" and Lara would go from level to level if you didn't want to go back (I don't)! I was literally about to give up when I got your message (at 4:25 in the morning, I'm so desperate!). God bless you!! (If a rich uncle dies, you're getting a cut...) quote: Come! I will buy you a milkshake!

Unfortunately, I got your message after I spent an hour painstakingly remaking all three of my WADs (all I have so far) with TRwest...IP: Logged |
