Hi Gokuz,

The logo "Tomb Raider" is located here: C:\Program Files\Core Design\trle\Logo\uklogo.bmp

The boot up screen logo "TR Level Editor" is located here: C:\Program Files\Core Design\trle\load.bmp

They can changed using a paint program such as PhotoShop.

I suspect that the fonts are hard-coded as they aren't kept in the WADs. There are a few letters stored in the House WAD from TR3 which demonstrate how they are stored (most likely within the tomb4.exe).

This is the readme file in logos;
To change the title logo :

Create a bitmap 512x256 16bit.
Save the bitmap as a .raw file RGB Interleaved ie RGB RGB RGB (Filesize will be 384k)
Then run logo.bat.

But how do i save it as a .raw file i dont have that option in ,in the save as dropdown bar?

hi gokuz,
go to http://www.tr-resurrection.de .
Webknight has got a tool on his website programmed by a member of the German Eidos forum. The programme is in German, but it´s very easy to use.
The name is "Raw2bmp".
A short explanation:
You have to start the "MSDOS Eingabeaufforderung" (I don´t know the English Name, but I´m sure you know what I mean , the programme which you use to convert your script.txt to script.dat (the dos interface) .
You´ll have to go to the directory where you´ve installed raw2bmp.
Copy your *.bmp file or *.raw file into the same directory.
Then go in the dos interface and type raw2bmp karnak.raw (for example). The programme will make a new file named karnak.bmp
After the sentence "Des wars, uff" the converting is finished. If you want to convert your bmp file again in a raw file, you have to do the same thing the other way round.
e.g.
raw2bmp karnak.bmp
and then you have a karnak.raw file.
I hope, in spite of my terrible English you did understand what I mean
cu

Interesting. My suspition was that they were in the Font.pc file found in the wads folder . The only problem is figuring out how to access it to make changes....

If you mess with the script enough, you can get playstation buttons instead of letters!

Hi KingSpyder,

Nice find You're right, the fonts are stored in "Font.pc". I didn't notice that file. The way to open it is to change the extension from .pc to .raw and open it with PhotoShop. I tried doing this briefly but the channels and bit depth options need to be fiddled around with to get them to display properly. A nice challenge for the TRLE folks here..

First person to get them to display properly gets a bottle of champagne courtesy of KingSpyder!

Thanks for the tip!

Try this: Open it with width set at 1024 and height set at 64. Set the Color Channels to Single Channel (greyscale). For File Structure set the Header Size to 0 (zero), Interleave on, Order to RGB and leave Flipped unchecked.

Here's a shot of what I got:

And, here's a link to the full size version: http://home.bwave.com/kingspyder/post/Font1.jpg

So, do get to award it to myself if I get it figured out?

I can pull that out of any TR4 file. But it is not a complete font. It only has the characters actually used, and I think they are only used on the PS version.
If someone is a good font maker, I can create a TGA or BMP version of the graphics for you to work with.
