Considering how low quality the graphics were for the earlier tr games, i wondered if the tr-le could be used as a 'shell' to play these games through it, so as to enhance them into looking better defined?------------------ For your eyes only...(ç°} IP: Logged |

Not possible. The graphics have fewer colors in the textures, and no matter what engine you play them with, you won't get more colors.

Go to the TombRaiderChronicles.com website and download Glidos. It enhances the original Tomb Raider and Tomb Raider Gold so as to display them as they were originally meant (by Core) to be seen (DOS-based graphics communications couldn't handle it, though). But all the other games aren't going to get any better...[This message has been edited by TRoosevelt_26 (edited 12-18-2001).] IP: Logged |

I beg to differ, Kingspyder is in the process of refurbishing TR1 and has already completed some of the levels, look here:- 001675.html ------------------

I know, I've played the caves level. But you do have to convert the textures. They just weren't as good as later games. I took the original question as meaning to try to play the levels with the LE. But as long as you have the original textures it won't look any better. Well, it might look a little better at higher screen resolution.

If I understand correctly, that program allows you to use the power of your graphics-card to boost up the game resolution, resulting in more detail IP: Logged |

Say - are there other programs like that for other popular games, or an all-game type utility? ------------------ »"...Pull upto the bumper baby, in your long black limocene..."« IP: Logged |
