Because of the economy, I am temporarily unable to afford my DSL connection. I am about to make the call to the phone company to disconnect me. For those who have my email address and have emailed me, that email address will be invalid in about 1 hour, so forget it.
I have setup another computer as a dialup so I will still have Internet access. Turns out I have to swap the modem, it only has a 33K in it. Getting used to 56K again is bad enough, I don't want to go to 33K. At least I'll still be around, but it might take me a couple of days to get everything setup. I have to copy Netscape, bookmarks and cookies, setup all my new email stuff, etc.
And if I have any updates, or anything large to send, I'll only be sending it once - to someone who will host it.
And I'll probably be complaining about large images in signatures again

Anyway, Mods - can I just change my email addy in my preferences? Will I lose my posting status or anything like that? Will I have to verify again? Get a different cookie or anything? In other words, will this be a smooth transition for me? I'll be checking in soon from my blazingly fast P-166 and 33K modem.

If you change the e-mail address in your profile you will be given a different password for security reasons.
