I recently got stuck on a level and decided to give up on it (as I have many of them)but decided I might like to go back to it later and see if I could figure something out. So, I copied a saved game from that level. Here's the problem. I went back to the level and copied the saved game back into the trle folder but now when I load that saved game the view is like looking through Lara's eyes instead of being behind her as normal. Any ideas on how to fix this or why it happened? Thanks.IP: Logged |

First person view would be very useful many times. More realistic. And first-person games can be a little faster, because you don't have to show all the animations for the character you play. Try to figure out what you might have done to get this. Maybe a corruption in the save game? I wonder if there is something in the save game that gives the perspective? I recommend holding onto the save game so it can be analyzed. If we can somehow force this, it could give a bit of new life to the game.

Are you sure that it is 1st person? Are you right up by a wall? In a confined space? Can you move with the 1st person view remaining?------------------

No, I'm not up against a wall or confined. I'm in the middle of a courtyard on top of a pillar. I can move all ways. Don't know how to pick up anything or get into alcoves, etc. I really haven't experimented with it so I don't know what all you can/can't do.IP: Logged |

Usually, thi (and some other funny things) happen, when you have changed the position of the room you´ve saved in the 2d map. Check this out cu danielIP: Logged |

It sounds as if the interpretation of the 'LOOK' key had become corrupt at some point, however Lara would not have the full functions of movement if this were the case; curious?------------------ 'ZING' is not a word that I am familiar with, however I will make an exception to 'YOINK'. IP: Logged |

Along the same lines, when i play TR1, When i get to St.Francis' Folly, the camera, although still in 3rd person view is very close behind Lara, closer than usaual, which makes Lara look bigger on the screen than she normally is. If i continue to play the camera stays this way until i exit the game and reload. It seems to me as if the camera is too close to Lara when the level starts, and it stays in that position....has anyone else noticed this in TR1 ?IP: Logged |

Daniel, I was playing a level, not building, so I didn't have access to the 2D map, but thanks for replying. Data, I think you're probably right but it is curious that it was fine while I was playing it but was messed up when I copied it back in to trle. I'm wondering if it could have something to do with copying "over" another saved game? It's just a thought. I'll try copying into a "clean" spot and see. Let you know in a little while if it makes a difference.IP: Logged |

It didn't make a difference. Oh well. If anyone has any ideas let me know. I've already started the level over from the beginning anyway. Guess I can't use copied saved games. Thanks to all.IP: Logged |
