i think that stack damp has something to do with some program that maybe is causing trouble to your computer. If you have Norton for viruses try to end the application and then try again with LE.I had trouble in the past with Norton and other programs and close all windows and then open LE.IP: Logged |

Yes Norton is a program for viruses, gbg is right for the meaning of LE.Sorry i should have written level editor.I didn't mean that you might have a virus but that a virus program is some times giving trouble to other programs or to the computer.[This message has been edited by KrisGR (edited 12-22-2001).] IP: Logged |

No,i just said that sometimes those programs are causing problems and i had a problem.Of course i uninstalled because i got that stack dump a lot.You don't have to uninstall anything.Just keep all other windows closed and try exiting that program.Just right click if you have a tray icon and click on exit. Then run again the editor if that doesn't work, there is a problem with a program in your computer or you can uninstall the editor and install again.Just a suggestion.[This message has been edited by KrisGR (edited 12-22-2001).] IP: Logged |

This is not unusual and the only way to rectify it is to back up your work and any custom wads and then uninstall it. after that delete any folders that are left presuming none of your backed up work is there, and then reinstall. If the same problem still occurs and you have already updated your video card with the latest drivers, check that you have Direct X 8 installed. Other things you could check are, are you running something else in the background like TSR's or other apps, if so shut them down one at a time until the problem goes away. It really is just time and effort i'm afraid. hope you get it sorted.------------------
