Hi, I'm new to the TR editing scene. I don't have Chronicles (yet), and I have a couple of questions about the editor:1. If I make a new level, do you have to have Chronicles to play it? 2. Can you script your own in-game cutscenes? 3. (This is really nit-gritty) If you can script your own cutscenes, can you have text appear, like subtitles? 4. I notices that in ALL TR games, in-game cutscenes are sometimes "shaky." The camera seems to be on a very slippery boom. What's up with that? Sorry about all the questions' I'm a newbie . Hi.Welcome! 1. Actually you donīt need Chronicles to play custom levels. You need the TR4 engine which comes with Chronicles on a separate CD. 2. No cutscenes for now. But it will be possible sometime, maybe in a near future. 3. You can place text at the begining of some of your custom levels. 4. Not sure. Hope it helped. Greetings.

I can tell you how to make some cutscenes like the ones in TR1,TR2,and TR3 all you need is TRwest and a nice new version of TR2WAD.all you do if you want a moving cutscene is extract the Cutscene items that you need from other tr games (not TRc or TR4) and the you place them in your level and trigger them when the scene starts, then its just a matter of placing the camera and recording the voices for the people in your scene. or you can make a cutscene that wont move at all by useing lara and an enemy with gaurd mode AI. Hope This Helps IP: Logged |
