OK.. another little question. I am building a series of levels with all of the TRLE levels as bases. I finished the tut1 without a hitch, and have now started the settomb. There is a part of the game that I really need water, so I set it up just as I had in the many watered rooms for tut1.prj. However, when I played the level there was a definite problem with the water. (Water type 1) Lara would stand on the water, without falling in and could not move. If I pressed the swim button, she would enter the water, but would not swim. She would merely float around with an invisible current that the user could control with the keys, but she would not swim. Or get out of the water. Et cetera. I apologize if this is a very basic problem and I am just ignorant, but I have tried many different ideas with the water rooms and it does not affect it at all. (I did try all four water types as well.) Any help with this problem would be greatly appriciated.

Thank you in advance,

Skeeve

I can't put any screen shots because the computer that I have TRLE on doesn't have a connection to the internet, and it is an iMac so I have no floppy drive to bring the shots over to this one. Ah well.

the problem certanly isn't standard, but the answer might be

make sure you're using toggle opacity 2 and not toggle opacity

also make sure there aren't any overlapping rooms in the map

you say your using settomb.WAS? have you downloaded the revised wads. i know that settomb doesnt have laras swimming animation in it. so you need the revised wads. plus, the water room has a setting of 2

Moose, tombs_on_the_brain, if you are referring to the number next to the "W" water button, it doesn't matter, because that number controls the movement of the water, so it can be any value

1=still, flat water
4=high waving water

IIRC!

If the swimming is messed up it is because you dont have the updated settomb wad you can get it from our tools page

This sounds like the problem I had when I downloaded, I think it was the Lake wad. If so some kind soul advised me to use TRWest to replace the Lara object with one from another wad (one that works!) This did the trick although as Tombs on the Brain said downloading the revised wad should sort this out too.

Gosh - I might finally be getting knowledgable enough to help other people!!
