I have a flip map that needs a cool effect. i need this reactor core to fire up with some bells and whistles...

any suggestions?

Trigger the mine helicopter half from the city wad in a disconnected room for an explosion that makes the screen blast white and slowly fade back no matter where you are.

What I need is some sort of pulsating light placed right on the reactor core and I think I can add enough fire and steam to make it look decent. Do you know how I can create this "pulsating" light effect?

from the TRLE FAQ page:
"AMBER_LIGHT (city.wad) - enter value 1 in the OCB data field to make the light go on with an explosion!"

maybe that will help?
and if it doesn't, try looking on the TRWest object location page to find more AMBER_LIGHT objects, maybe there is one that pulsates....I saw one in a custom level called "The Resque" IIRC

I guess you could use the object lightning conductor with a 3 in the ocb box, this produces a vertical ligthning strike thats blue, maybe this is some help to you

Thanks you guys, I'll look into it. I don't know how to mess around with wads very well yet. Guess I'd better learn if I want my level to be up to par.

I've found that the amber light with a ocb of 2 starts a little rumble. (it also still has the light)
