I've downloaded a level and I want to play it.What am I supposed to do???
It is the first time I try to use the LE
Please don't laugh at me------------------

Unzip to a temporary folder.It has a readme file right,so follow the installation instructions.Or if you got it from trc site it has setup,click it.IP: Logged |

If you´ve downloaded the level from tombraiderchronicles site, make sure your trle is installed in the default directory before trying to click the setup file from the download.IP: Logged |

It has a readMe,but it doesn't say anytihng about the installation and it's not from trc
It has some files with the extensions:
*was
*wad
*tom
*CD
but not an *.exe
The level is called Eye OF Eve
There is an English and a Scropt dat with weird things in them

Well, give us a little more then - what level is is and where did you get it from?Do you see a .TOM file somewhere or a .TR4 file? Do you have a SCRIPT.DAT and an ENGLISH.DAT file? It is usually not too complicated to get this to work, but in oder to help you, we need to know what we are starting from... ------------------

First just make a copy of the folder Core Design and put it somewhere safe because you are going to replace some of the original files.An important question.Do you have the revised WADS?If yes copy *WAS,*WAD,*TOM,*CD files to C:\Program Files\Core Design\trle\graphics\wads.
Then copy English and Script to C:\Program Files\Core Design\trle
Then click on tom2pc and click Add,choose eye.TOM and click on Built all.When it says on the right window built all complete close it and start the game.You know the rest.
One piece of advise,just forget it,it's too hard to play this level if you are not familiar with hard made custom levels,i am trying to finish it for months.Without cheating of course,i never use cheat.if you decide to play it prepare yourself.IP: Logged |
