Here is a tutorial I wrote for myself a while ago, lol. Its kinda sloppy compared to what I do now, but here it is:

Camera Targets

After pulling a lever while playing a TR game you have probably noticed that you see the door that it opened for a couple of seconds. This is done with a camera target and a fixed camera.

In this tutorial you are going to place a door that is opened by a lever and see the door opening with the camera target and the fixed camera.

1. First select a room. The size doesn’t matter.
2. Then place a switch and a door at different ends of the room.
3. Then place a fixed camera from the effects menu where you want it to be looking at the door.
4. Then place a camera target from the objects menu (where Lara and the baddies are) where you want the camera to be looking at the door.

Now you are going to place the triggers for everything.

1. First click on the switch and then click on the floor square below the switch and click on the pink trigger button. Then click the text box next to the pink trigger button to select the trigger type. A new window will come up. Click the text box next to “Type”. Select “switch” from the menu. Click Okay and then click Ok.
2. Click on the camera target object. Then click on the square below then switch. Trigger it twice. For one of its triggers click on the text box next to the pink trigger button and then click the text box next to type. Select Target from the menu. Click okay.
3. Now Click on the fixed camera and trigger it on the square with the switch. Click the text box next to the pink trigger button and type “2” in the timer text box and press enter to make it stick.
4. Now click on the door and trigger it under the switch too.

That’s it.

Click where it says 'object' in the trigger window and you'll find the target selection.
