Oh man this one is giving me a hard time....

I have several stacked water rooms..I want lara to swim to the top room and hit a trigger in the door(or in the room itself) that makes the water dissapear and a floor to appear below her that she lands on.... Im fairly new to flip maps , It seems that you cant flip a door portal to close so ive tryed toggle opacity, I use toggle opacity 1 to texture the surface of a door to put surface water on it, but it seems to make a door impassible when its vertical(without water) and I have no idea what toggle oppacity 2 does............

Ive tryed this so many times and my head is about to explode

BASICALLY : How do I create an underwater flip map

Create two rooms, make a portal between them, flip the bottom room, press W (for water), flip the upper room, press R (for reflecting). In flipped mode (black background), from the upper room, select the portal, press Toggle Opacity 2, apply the water textures. Then exit from the flipped mode (ALT+F).
That is all. Toggle opacity 2 allows you to apply textures on a portal that Lara can pass through. Toggle opacity 1 makes the same but Lara cannot pass through it (and you also should apply this property to both sides.)

Hope it's clear.

Bye

That makes sence but its triggering the flip map that is my main problem, I just can seem to trigger the flip while shes swimming in the water.

I can trigger a underwater flip map when she swims over a square but i cant get it to work when she swims up into another room, hmm actually im thinking that if i put a transparent toggle opp with the trigger ontop of that as you explained it should work ...... ill test it out

I don't think a mid-air trigger will work.

Send me the project file if you want (at least those two rooms).

It ok Ive done what I wanted to do by changing the design of the way it was done, its just a shame that there isnt a doorway trigger it would have saved me a lot of time and effort but like I always say "There is aways a way round a problem"
