Sorry, I didn't know where to post this.
The game is going to have authentic Peruvian objects and setting, custom music and even a new skin for Lara (I say 'even' because I made it and at first I didn't think I could do it). She is getting jungle camouflaged combat pants and will have a Browning High-power semi-automatic pistol, a rocket launcher, Ingram Mac-10 submachine guns and an M16A2 assault rifle.

So I want suggestions for traps or even for rooms/areas you'd like to see in the finished product. BTW, this game will be set indoors for most part (if not completely), like the levels from the beginning of TR1 (only different).

If anyone wants a screenshot, I will e-mail you one (all the weapons are not done yet, though).

That is, a screenshot of Lara's outfit. I have not even started the levels yet, as I like to have them completely laid out on paper before I start.

Hey, I am doing levels in Guatamala, but with TR1 objects and textures. Do you want me to send you my (short) level to get some ideas? The story is in my sig...

I do have one idea. Why not a good Amazon jungle, with tons of new enemies like Amazon animals, birds, or natives! Then have the level steadily progress up a mountain, with less and less vegitation. Lara finnaly reaches the peak, covered in snow, and then decends into a tomb!

------------------
TOMB RAIDER: THE CHIHOLTOPEC IDOL

The year is 1997, and Lara is off on another adventure! This time, she is going deep into the jungles and foothills of Central America. Finding a cave entrence, she eagerly steps into the gloom. But the ground beneath her breaks apart, and she is sent tumbling down into the mountain side...

Unknown to her, she has stumbled upon the shrine of Chiholtopec, an ancient Maya god of seeing and fire. The reclaiming of his idol from the buried temple will allow it's bearer to rule the gift of unhindered sight. That is, if they can't pass the three tests of this god...

I intend TOMB RAIDER: CHIHOLTOPEC IDOL to be a three level series, with the first level "Temple of the Idol" out sometime near February.
Thanx Lara Croft 2001 UK for image

That is a very good idea!! I think I will do it.

PS - I have already played the demo version of your level, but thank you for recommending it to me.

Be sure that I will tell everyone when these levels are done!

But it seems no one has converted artifacts from TR1 yet (i.e., gold idol, etc.), so I may have to do it myself.

I'm doing a 3 level adventure set in Peru a the moment.
I have finished the first level apart from the lighting and am working on the second.
Sorry i don't really have any sugestions for you level as i'm short of ideas for my levels sometimes.

I really love the old TR1 Peruvian levels though so i hope you go ahead with you project

Here are some screenshots from mine so far:
bear in mind that the lighting hasn't been added at this stage, so these images will be improved upon:

Nice that you also create Jungle levels Trooseveld. I dont think many people here around create jungle theme's since Egyptian style is very famous in Tr.

I am also making 4 levels, that take place in india. Creating jungle is really hard. Its mostly based on texture, modeling and lighting. My 1st level is still in progres, the 2nd 3rd are Jungle/ Temples, a little indoor and outdoor area's, the 4th will be mostly indoor. Since thats going to be Earth Temple of Neptunes.
Here some screenshot which might give a jungle atmosphere

Hurray!! I just finished the title flyby for my game tonight! It took a long time, but it was worth it.

I'm starting the first level tonight, as I have got most of the gameplay laid out on paper now. Look for updates...

Nice idea though verios but i think it is kinda hard. Cause we live in different countries, we are far from eachother, sending prj and stuff by e-mail isnt a bad idea but requires many talks and also a fast conection.

Lol if all the best trle builders combine powers and make 17 levels or something. Lol a own design crew. heh
