I just started using Metasqueoia and wanted to see if it worked. I made a box the size of 4 squares on the metasqueoia screen. I exported it as a DXF file. Settings I chose were: Multiply = .01 X = 0 I clicked the YZ button I "checked the triangle has four points" boxI then opened up StrPix3 and opened a wad file from a level. I picked one of the objects that I wanted to replace and imported my DXF file which replaced that object. I saved the wad. Next I opened Room Editor. I clicked on the Load Objects button and attempted to load the was fil for the level. I got an error message that read: "Winroomedit has caused an error in WINROOMEDIT.EXE. Winroomedit wil no close. If you continue to experience problems, try restarting your computer." I tried restarting the computer but still got the error message. Can anyone help me with this error or how to import correctly? you have to use TRwest to put the object you made into one of the WADs that came with the level editor (ie. city, catacomb, cleo etc.)Crazie J ------------------ If ignorance is bliss I'm in heaven Stupidity is not a disorder, it's a way of life. Proud member of the Toothy Smile group IP: Logged |

TRWest only opens WAS files and Strpix doesn't save as a WAS file so how can I open the object in TRWest?IP: Logged |

This sounds complicated, but hold on... I open up strpix 3.8 and import the dxf object. Then i do all my texturizing and save the wad. I open up my wad in strpix 3.4 and save it. For some reason strpix 3.8 dosen't save well without corrupting wads with imported object (atleast for me), but it does open up the objects. strpix 3.4 doesn't import meta objects well, but doesn't corrupt wads. here's another way i do things... With strpix 3.8 i'll import the dxf into a wad (doen't matter which wad), and i'll export the dxf right away. i'll open up strpix 3.4 and the wad i want the object in. Then i'll import the object in the desired position, texturize it and save. I hope this works for you .------------------ Visit my site! Sign my guestbook!
