I cannot make the slope trick in ceiling blocks! It works ok for floor blocks, but I cannot change the angle of a diagonal slope (triangular) in ceiling blocks...

There is a third party app. that allows you to export the level editor mesh to a .dxf file although i can't remember what it's called. It could be TR3dedit or something like that. Sorry to be so vague, but if you build the floor exactly how you want the ceiling to look, you can then export it and use it as an object for the ceiling. It's a bit of a long shot, but that's the best I can do.

No, the slope trick in question which is not really a trick, is when you press the 'alt' key to change the angle on any given tile (the tile has to be highlighted and not be flat).
This doesn't work on the ceiling though. The pic you show is not how it would look if it were on the ceiling, but if you could turn that upsidedown pyramid a quarter of a turn, it would be perfect.
Ah well, limitations, limitations........

well, we have a lot of limitations, but the TRLE is very much easy.. in few months we can build professional games, even if not that updated, but sure it is easy to use...

Tomb_Raider_Nut, can you post a screenshot of that "slope trick" in the Level Editor, without any textures? it's kinda hard to see what you've done there

i could send a prj to anyone that wants it. (including a room to make the 'gem' in the earlier pic to look transparent but still have the wall behind it.)

Hey Nut,

please send me your prj. I do not get the point how you did it. I first thought of a stacked room when I saw your last posted jpg. My question: Can you create circular rooms with that skill? In fact what you have done can be replaced by a stacked room at any time; even though it won't work with the texture behind that "gem". You made me getting curious.

Thanks a lot,

That is not the slope trick in question, but that is one impressive piece of designing you've managed to create there. I would like the project please

but then there's always the icon to correct it
I see myself using it a lot, because my spelling errors reach sky high

about your project: this would be a great addition to the TRLE FAQ page. if you can spare the time, would it be possible for you to write a little tutorial on how you designed that "gem", so it can be placed on the FAQ page for all to see and learn?

to make a screenshot, you need to press the printscreen key on your keyboard, paste it in any paint program and save it as .jpg and then send it along the tutorial via e-mail

[edit: spelling errors...I KNEW IT ]

Hmm... What slope trick is it then? Show me what it looks like using floor blocks, if it's possible.

actually there are 4 linked rooms to get the whole gem thing to work properly. plus it will now allow see-trough monkey bars (with the monkey bars against a wall) without the black sky.

i will be doing a tutorial oh how to (within a week, unless i get extreemly busy), so i'm not sending any more prj's out.
