i took steps from the coastal wad, put them into the tut wad, do i need the full wad sets from eidos as she doe not climb these steps just runs right through them.

Tragedy !

You need to change the steps in Trwest not sripix because (well im asuming this is what youve done) if you replace an object with another in sripx it uses the other objects collision boundary , if you change it in trwest it will keep its boundary hope this helps

If with steps you mean the stairs in the architectures section of the wad, they are right and you HAVE to pass through! You should make a ramp first, texture it with the gray color near the black color used for sky and then put the steps on the ramp, but adding it by clicking on the ceiling and not on the floor as usual. The lower the steps to the correct position.

correction:
the gray color is used for no collision (manual page 67)
use the black color to texture the ramp (slope) transparant

now why didnt i think of that, cool, just to annoy (only joking of course) how do you do this with the curved semi circular steps, i think they are from the catacombs?

Gray is just transparent in general. In fact, ANY color applied to a room will make that surface invisible. I think black is the only one that lets the horizon show thru.
