I have already read other posts on this, and I can't get it through my thick skull.

So I would appreciate it if someone would lay out, step by step, how I animate four textures (each one a quarter of one texture tile in the TRLE).

Thanks in advance...

I will explain this as wide as i can.
I had the same problem and i know how to do this.

Step 1 - You need 8 ---- 64x64 textures ( in 1 texture are 4 smaller textures ( quarter tiles )

1 - Create a new room 2x4 ---- 4 clicks high.

2 - Select the first whole texture, dont select a quarter tile from it. Just the texture. And texture 1 square of that room

3 - Select the 2nd 64x64 texture and texture the second square. Continue doing this till you textured all 8 in that room. If correct you will have 2 squares untextured. Texture those with something else to fill it up

4 - Open your annimation range window. And set the annimation range for 8 textures.

5 - The editor now saves this range in the memory thinking that all 8 are being animated. But the system is, if 1 64x64 animates the small quarter tiles also get animated automatically

6 - Create a new room ( size and height doesnt matter

7 - Select, for example, the water fall quarter tile from the 1st texture. And texture it anywhere you want.

8 - Which quarter tile you place isnt important, but it is important if want to create a water fall on 3 squares. You select the 1st waterfall tile, then texture under it the 2nd waterfall tile. Its like putting a puzzle together.

9 - Annimation will work INGAME

Hope this is clear enough, if not, feel free to e-mail me and i will send a prj.

Good luck

Thanks for the help! I can get whole tiles to animate in a string (i.e., the waterfalls from Lost Valley), but not quartered tiles. Could you send the .PRJ? Thanks,
- Jonathan
