I looked at them in the TR2PRJ and they're huge! Each room is like 18x18. There are also a whole lot of textures, why is that?

Im not sure why it is, but TR3 was made with a whole new team of workers. A lot of it was experimentation with lots of new ideas. That might have something to do with it...

And why are the levels from TRLR so short?

There are more levels in the game but they are much shorter than any level in other TR games.

Maybe thereīs an explanation -

I donīt know how much memory a TR3 level could have. But I think that due to the more complex things in TRLR, the levels must be shorter, or you must use less textures and things like that... Just a thought.

To me, the levels in TR3 and Gold are the most beautiful. I especially like the Scotland levels and the Madubu Gorge!

Like Fabio said. The last revelation has very new options then the older editors. When you look at tr3 you see that the lightning is very simple. Sure, you can make your levels just as big as tr3. But you must keep the lightning simple to achive a bugfree level or not go over the memory limits.
