I used the bull from the sfinx level cause this bull is more impressive then the one from the guard.WAD. I changed the color and added the shiny effect. It was work of 2 ours. Now i tested the bull and i realised that he makes no sound. Is it possible to add sounds to enemy's yet? IP: Logged |

It is. In TRViewer, you can use, on the bottom box of the animation tools of the bull: Command 5. This is the sound command. Parameter 1 is the number of the frame you want the bull to be at to make a noise. Parameter 2 is the sound number. If you look at the sound menu at the bottom of the wad list, and find the correct sound using the menu, look at the internal index number. THAT is what you put in parameter 2. Parameter 3 is not used as far as I'm concerned. Downside: it only overwrites the tr4 file. This means if you convert your level afterward, the tasks you have done will be erased. It is best to do this if you are converting for the final time in the creation of your level. That is the best I can think of. [This message has been edited by qbg (edited 01-25-2002).] IP: Logged |

The sound animation command should already be there. The problem is the sound for that particular bull is not being built by pcwadsfx. You need to edit sounds.txt and find the sound. The easiest way to turn it on is add #g to the end of the line. Then run pcwadsfx for your wad file.

I tryed to adjust the sound.txt file. I know how this works. Still no sound from the bull. When i replace the bull from the guard wad the sound is OK. When i replace my bull it is gone. TRviewer is much too difficult for me to work out. There is no manual. Sure it is a very intelligent program but for a beginner i dont know where to start. So i guess i use the bull from the guard wad then. Thanks... IP: Logged |
