I went to run my level for a quick test, and it crashed to that good old blue screen."Fatal error occured at 071F:BFF9DFFF" Does anyone happen to know what that hexi-dec address represents by any chance? Or does anyone know how I can diagnose this error? IP: Logged |

Windows Fatal Errors:Most general protection errors are caused by
- 1. Corrupted files (run scan disk and defrag regularly)
- 2. Poorly written software (look at what programs you are running at the time of the error)
- 3. Bad Video ram (get a new video card or replace the ram chips on it)
- 4. Bad or unmatched System Ram (replace or swap ram)
- 5. Bad Mother Board Cache ram (replace the mother board or cache module)
Usually the error can be corrected by uninstalling the level editor, deleting the folder that is left after uninstall (after backing up any changes that you have made) and then reinstalling. If this fails to correct the problem, close down anything else that may be running (like TSRs or other applications in the bottom right tray) and then try again. If you need more help, please respond.

I had same problem also once. Colin grigson gave me a tip.Dont use too many objects from different wads. Your wad is "overloaded" delete unneeded enemies or objects ------------------ The best thing and last thing is to try ( ^_^ )=b IP: Logged |

Well, I deleted all the changes I made to the level before it started crashing, (just rooms and doors, I have maybe 10 objects in the level) It's still crashing, but it doesn't crash to the blue screen then freeze anymore, now it crashes to the desktop. This seems a bit more promising, but what the heck? Any suggestions?IP: Logged |

Well, my backup copy runs, but if I revert to the old backup I'll lose ALOT of work. The only major difference between the two are a single room with a flipmap, is there any way a flipmap can cause a crash?IP: Logged |

Well I'm slightly releived. For the record, and I have no idea why, my level kept crashing because of a flipped room I had created. Once I deleted that room, it ran peachy. Either I didn't set up the flipped room properly, or there was some lighting conflict going on in there, (I know that lighting has caused crashing before).yeehaw! IP: Logged |

Good that the fatal error disapeared, about flipmaps. Maby if you had 2 suns or something in your level it would crash. Also i can crash if use too many shadows in 1 room
